Weekend Trips: Semarang

hey all!
how's your weekend going so far?

as i mentioned earlier, yesterday my family and i went to Semarang, the capital city of Central Java. we took a plane from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at around 1 and arrived around 2. well it took app. 50 mins by airplane.

SEMARANG E YOUKOSO! it was freaking hot! after we got out of the airport, we directly headed to a shop selling curtain and bed sheets to buy ourselves some cute and nice new bed sheets woo-hooo! i picked a purple one and it was expensive lol. gomen ne okaasan. then suddenly i got a really really painful stomachache i couldn't barely walk. never felt that way before even when i had my period. so we had to head directly to the hotel. took a medicine for period cramp and took a rest a lil and the pain was gone. not gone completely but it was much much better. then we got ready for a gathering night with my dad's office ppl all around Central Java and also Police Academy in Semarang i believe.

one of the performances last night. the band was from Police Academy. they played 2 songs, can't take my eyes off of you and indonesian song from ST 12 called Cari Pacar Lagi (Find Another Girlfriend). they played soooo good i was really amused!

food time! the left one is Martabak (my fav!!). taken from wikipedia:

Martabak telur, or egg martabak, is a crepe-like dish which mainly comprises vegetables. It also includes chicken or duck egg for the batter - up to six eggs for a large one. Martabak telur is made by spinning pastry until very thin, like filo pastry, then shallow-frying it in a custom made flattened heavy wok. The ingredients are added, then the pastry is wrapped around the ingredients to make a parcel. Usually, it is cut into squares afterwards for consumption. It is often eaten with slices of cucumber, and a dark brown sauce made of vinegar and palm sugar.

the right one is Tahu Petis, i guess? LOL. personally i don't really enjoy eating this one coz i just don't hahahaaa. but trust me, it is actually really delicious. many ppl love it tho.

we stayed at Santika Hotel. and i had to put this pic. the bathroom is incredibly LARGE, the photo is just a very tiny little space inside the bathroom. it's even larger than my ROOM. LOL and we can see the unfinished building outside. romantic, right? hahaha.

again, i just had to put this pic. very typical of Indonesian motorcycles and i'm pretty sure also in other Southeast Asian countries, right fellaaas? okay so who am i to judge them? but it can def. danger their lives and the poor baby. at least they should consider that before going with motorcycles with 3 or more ppl on it, agree anyone?

the building at the back is called Lawang Sewu (The Thousands Doors). okay so maybe the name is exaggerating but it sure has LOTSA doors! it is believed as one of the most scary and haunted places in Java Island and it was used for making a horror movie with the same title as the building's name. the movie's not good i heard but meh!

so that's all my trip to Semarang. enjoyed it a lot. too bad we stayed there only for one day. OH! and i met one of my precious friend back in Japan, Teguh! i was soooooooo happy! just like the old times even for like only 15 mins. he introduced his girlfriend, Brenda. such a pretty lady.

HAPPY WEEKEND, ALL!

Hauls: Coastal Scents & NOTD

HEY ALL!

couple of weeks ago i ordered brushes and gel liner from Coastal Scents and couple days ago my order came! YAAAAYY~~

the small damage:

Gel Liners in True Black
Pink Round Crease Eye Brush
Italian Badger Blender

and they gave me free sample of eyeshadow in Persian Night. gorgeous green! me likeeey!

they put all the orders in a cute pink bag. oh wait, where did i put it?

Pink Round Crease Eye Brush. i like how the bristles are not too soft and not too stiff. just perfect shape!

Italian Badger Blender

Left: Pink Round Crease Eye Brush
Right: Italian Badger Blender

haven't tried both of the brushes tho. but they're pretty soft so i have high hopes for them since the blending brush that i have is a no-no and as far as i remember, i don't have a crease brush hohoho

Gel Liners in True Black. LOVE IT! too bad it doesn't come with a brush :( BOO!
yay: creamy, easy to apply, dry quickly when applied to your lid, long staying power. woo-hooooo!
nay: no brush, for me it's online shopping only >___<

free sample: shadow in Persian Night.

swatch:

it's pretty pigmented and shimmery. guess it'll be much much better when applied wet.
i'll try that later.

NOTD:

what i used:

Mavala Velvet (for base)
OPI Atomic Orange (should-be-diagonal dots)
OPI Green-wich Village and Konad Special Nail Polish in White (flowers)

it's the second day and haven't chipped even a little. me likey! maybe i'll take the pic again in a week to see how good the nail polishes and the toap coat are.

we will see.

HAVE A FANTABULOUS DAY, GUYS!

Weekend Movies & Resto: Night at the Museum: Battle of of the Smithsonian & Paregu

holaaaa, guys!

how was your weekend going? hope you all had a blast :D
mine? a blast!

my family and i went eating-out yesterday to celebrate my mom's b'day and mom's & dad's anniversary.
the restaurant is PAREGU from japan.
costs about $9.5 before the tax and without drinks. that's not so bad tho thinking that they have various kind of food and it's freaking ALL YOU CAN EAT LOL

so they have 2 ways of cooking food, steam (shabu2) and BBQ. super yummy!
for the meat, seafood and veggie, the resto provides a buffet so just grab 'em and eat 'em!
no loooong-wait like when you actually order the food.
well you have to wait for the drink tho.
they also provide fried dumplings, fruits, puddings, and soup!

it's BBQ TIME!

the shabu-shabu.. we cooked A LOT of seafood and meatballs. we were bloated hahahaaa

Tom Yam Kung. a dangerously delicious shrimp soup from Thailand. super yuuuuum!

the meat for BBQ. i skipped the meat until the end to avoid eating too much meat. it worked altho, like i said before, we were bloated already hahaha

*nom nom nom* love all the food! -___________-"

the big family. literally LOL. i'm always happy when it comes to family gatherings. ALWAYS. especially when we spend our new year's eve together. well usually we do tho every year.

The cousin, Dinie and moi. we LOVE to eat muahahaahahaha.

The other cousins, Dita & Ayu.

after eating, the kids *note: not yet married ppl* went to Plaza Indonesia to watch Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian while the parents went home. it wasn't too crowded when we were in queue line for the tickets but they costed about $4.5 coz it was weekend and Plaza Indonesia is one of high-end malls in Jakarta *note again: windows shopping ONLY*

pose is the most important thing for our family LOL. posed and failed meh!

the movie was UBER HILARIOUS! i couldn't stop laughing during the movie and the cousins said i laughed the loudest. don't even care coz i was soooo entertained. there were actually Jonas Brothers played as cherubs and boooooyyy they were CUUTTEE!

well maybe for ppl who love history and have no sense of humor at all, the movie can be pretty insulting of how they describe the famous ppl such as Abraham Lincoln, Napoleon, Al Capone and more. and oh! they have these Einstein's bobbleheads! SUPER DUPER KAWAII! so just have fun to the fullest when you watch it and i'm sure you'll find it very very amusing! i don't mind watching it all over again and again and again until i'm bored watching it. hahahaaaa maybe the story is not better than Night at the Museum but i think it's a lot funnier than the first.

so grab your bag, head to the cinema and watch this movie if you need something to cheer you up!

HAVE FUN WATCHING, guys!
