Hauls: Konad Nail Art + Tutorial

** PICTURES HEAVY **

hellooooow, guuys!

yesterday i went to airport to meet my beloved bestfriend, Nanzy! finally she'
s home even for only 3 months. so i went with my friends and since they worked, i had to wait for th
em. we decided to meet in Pacific Place coz it's near their working place. before they came, i wandered along alone and i happened to see sorry-i-forgot-the-shop's-name nail art shop and they sell "KONAD". they had a discount for a pack of 1 image plate, stamp & scraper, and 2 colors of special nail polishes for about $12.25 so i gave in *sigh*

i fell in love at first sight when i saw this plate. it has really cute icons especially kiss me and half woman's face that i can't resist i had to get them hohoho.

the stamp and the scraper for the nail art. it's actually easy to apply but i need more practice. and when i say more i mean MOOOOOOOOOREEEE!

i picked black and white coz i think they're neutral. they can go with ALMOST every color, agree with me anyone? they're special nail polishes tho. you can only use them with the image plate. i asked the SA and she said that i can't use regular nail polishes for the image. *sob*

bought this nail polish remover for app. $1.5. if you notice it says nail remover. kinda creeps me out LOL

so here's the tutorial for using the image plate from Konad:

1. put the right amount of special nail polish over the preferred icon in the plate (only at the edge).

2. slide the scraper to spread the nail polish all over the image. this step can get pretty messy if you put too much polish in the first place.

3. press the stamp on to the preferred icon on the plate. don't press too hard, only press just to get the icon stick to the stamp.

4. sticky sticky icon! then press the stamp to your nail. again, don't press too hard.

Result:

Ta-da! looks weird LOL but you got the idea, right? it could be more neat but oh well

another example to apply the nail art:

1. put your nail polish base (any color will do). make sure that the polish is dry.

2. the tools (now i chose the black color). the steps are the same.

guess i chose the wrong icon coz it is too HUGE on my pinkie hohoho but aren't they cute? me likey!

my thumb is hideous o.O

so that's all for now. pwetty pwetty nail arts from Konad!

have a lovely day, all! :D

we have no rights no more, no Mister?

hey guys,

so it's my rants on what's going on in my country nowadays.

according to The Jakarta Post,

"Apparently bowing to the mounting public pressure, the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) released on Wednesday a housewife from prison and put her under city arrest. Prita Mulyasari had been detained at Tangerang women penitentiary for three weeks after she was named a suspect for allegedly defaming Omni International Hospital after she shared her complaint about the hospital’s services via the internet."

city arrest? are you kidding me? prison? are you out of your mind?

for God's sake, she was just complaining of how bad the service of one of International Hospitals in Tangerang, a city near Jakarta, and she got arrested? the world is getting crazier day by day, eh? this news is really irritated me so bad. she just sent email (ps: not hate email) to show how disappointed she was so the hospital can IMPROVE its service in the future, yet, she was accused of insulting the hospital's reputation.

yea right, Mister, you insulted yourself by acting this way.

poor Prita. she can't even go to work since she works in Jakarta and she can't leave Tangerang. really poor her, she has 2 small children to raise.

so, we can't say anything anymore, now?

oh, i hope i won't get arrested by saying this tho o.O *w00t w00t* GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Hauls: OPI *again*

hey all!

yesterday finally i watched Drag Me To Hell with my bestie, Mita.

actually at first we were planning to watch Night at Museum 2 since we need a good laugh without laughing at ourselves but when i found out that Drag Me To Hell is already played in Jakarta, i DRAGGED her to watch the movie with me LOL

to be honest, she is NOT a big fan of horror movies. yea, hundreds of times we watched horror movies together with Nanzy as well on DVDs, she ALWAYS ended up sleeping since she was TOO scared to watch those movies. so i was quite proud of myself yesterday mwahahahahaha.

and BOY! the sound system was TOOOO LOOUUUUDDDD i had to close my ears during the movie for like 2 freaking hours. i can take horror scene BUT i can't take the sound. it frightens me so bad! LOL.

so as i expected, at some point it was kinda corny and we went like "HUH?" "EEEWWWW!!!!" "GROSSSS!!!!" "WTF??!!!" "WHY DID I SPEND MY MONEY ON THIS???!!!" the end is pretty predictable since horror movie NEVER has a happy-ending, right? RIGHT? so for you guys who are curious about this movie *like i was* be sure to be prepared to watch some ewww-ness for app. 2 hours. the ONLY thing that made me survive watching this movie is JUSTIN LONG bahahahaaaaaa! he makes me drool *blushes*

after watching that oh-my-God-that-was-so-gross movie, we just walked around the mall and *again* i saw this OPI counter. so we went there and those colorful nail polishes screamed my name and DRAGGED me to my own imagination if i have those pretty colors. so in the end, she bought i think it was nail strengthener and i bought myself a gorgeous green color Green-wich Village, and dazzling orange color, Atomic Orange.

The SA told me that Green-wich Village is very popular now in Jakarta. what about in your countries?

i've been looking for an orange color for my nails and Atomic Orange is a very pretty orange color! sorry for the messy-ness of my nails.

so perhaps starting from next week i'll be doing another internship outside Jakarta for my thesis. it's a paper and pulp company and i'll be working in environmental-related department.

wish me luck, guys! *crossing fingers*

so, have a lovely days for all lovely ladies! :D

Eye Make Up Remover, No?

hey guys!

so i've been meaning to find a good eye make up remover

i've tried KATE, CLINIQUE, a japanese eye make up remover which i don't know the name, and some more.

so as far as i know CLINIQUE is the best eye make up remover i've ever tried

then i check makeupalley and check which product has the best reviews.

and i read that vaseline can be a great eye make up remover.

so i gave it a try.

using my make up from the night i went out with my family, i used clinique on my left eye and vaseline on my right eye.

so here's the review of both products.

Vaseline

Yay:

  • It does its job wonderfully
  • Doesn't make my eyelashes fall off
  • Doesn't leave my lid dry
  • Economically-friendly LOL

Nay:

  • You have to be very patient as it takes a lot of time to clean your eye make up

How to use?

take enough amount of vaseline onto your finger and rubs gently all over your eye lid and eyelashes.. then clean it with cotton gently.. make sure that the vaseline doesn't get in your eyes. lol. no, i'm serious.

Clinique

Yay:

  • It does its work well fast
  • Doesn't leave my lid dry

Nay:

  • Too pricey
  • It leaves red mark on my lid and it hurts huhu
  • Makes my eyelashes fall off :(

How to use?

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3. just take enough amount of clinique to the cotton and rubs gently over your eye make up and mascara. *maybe i did it harshly that made my eyelashes fall off huuuuuu*

Before:

After:

if you notice in the pic, after i finished cleaning my eye with clinique, the red mark appeared and it hurt. i'm not really sure but maybe clinique doesn't suit my skin well. guess i'll be using vaseline from now on.

Vaseline, yoroshiku onegaishimasu! :D
